2nd Annual LSIA Garage Sale set for May 21-23, 2009
The second annual garage sale will be held May 21-23, 2009. We need contributions of clean used items to sell at sale. Last year we only had about 10 families contribute and helped to raise about $1,000.00 after expenses. If you think of how many people belong to association and as spring is approaching we will be cleaning out garage, closets etc. just think of how much we can raise. Let’s try to make several thousand dollars. Your donation is tax deductible and you will be given a receipt.
You are the best person to determine how much your item/items are worth so we ask that you mark them. If you have tables that we can use, that would be appreciated Each family will be assigned a number so we can return unsold items.
Purpose is to raise money to help with weed control and make our lake beautiful once again.

1st Annual LSIA Garage Sale! A fundraiser to support the cleanup of beautiful Lake Sarah
1st Annual LSIA Garage Sale - A fundraiser to support the cleanup of beautiful Lake Sarah - was held Thursday thru Saturday June 19 - 21, 2008 . 8am to 5pm at Bob Beadle’s farm - 6075 Highway 55 (just east of North Shore Drive, south side of the highway), Greenfield. Carol reports that approximately 15 area residents donated unwanted but useful Items to the sale which raised just short of $1000 for the Cleanup the lake fund! (Total sales were $951.50, net proceeds to LSIA for the cleanup the lake fund was $887.40). A few people had large items to sell on consignment and were willing to donate 10% of the sale price to LSIA, were allowed to display the items and the volunteers did their best to get offers or negotiate with prospective buyers based upon the items sale information form provided by the seller. Thank you to Carol Beasecker and Bob Beadle for all their time and hard work! Also, Thank You to Carol Roberts, Heather Beasecker, Judy Luhmann, Linda Hegner who volunteered their time throughout the sale and to Mike Peterson for putting up the signs. LSIA appreciates all the volunteers and neighbors who donated to this, (hopefully) first of many, fundraising efforts! Carol will announce the results of the sale at the LSIA meeting on July 27.
